When You Study The Acoustic Guitar, You Will Appreciate The Dominance of The Gods
If you have ever noticed someone playing the live guitar, then you know how incredibly powerful and mesmerizing they can be. They seem to be one with their guitar, completely oblivious of everyone else in the room, stadium, or wherever they are as they product a melody and rhythm that transfixed the audience through some deep subconscious communication.
And of course, the natural response after seeing such a wonderful performance is to try and emulate it. We we want to learn an instrument so that we, too, can play like that. Unfortunately, many of us don’t follow through on our dreams, thinking somehow that they are too far out of reach, and too difficult to attain. This is absolutely false.
People that actually spend the effort to learn an instrument know that the reward they get far exceeds any effort they put into it. The first step always seems the most difficult, but when it comes to playing an instrument, once the first step is crossed, you will be virtually unstoppable.
Far and away the most chosen instrument is the acoustic guitar. If you understand some of the reasons why, then the acoustic guitar becomes the obvious instrument of choice for learning to musically express yourself.
Primarily the acoustic guitar is chosen because it is so easy to learn. Just a few chords is all you need to be able to play along with almost any song. And this gives you sufficient motivation to keep playing and learning.
Another reason the guitar is so popular is that it is incredibly portable. It is light, and you can bring it anywhere. Trains, cars, airplanes, ships, any means of travel naturally lends it self to bringing your guitar along. And to play, you don’t need any more space than where you are already sitting. Just pull it out, start strumming a few chords, and watch the magic happen. You’ll be amazed how easy it is.
