Piano Lessons For Beginners Facts For The Teacher
Are you thinking of acquiring some piano lessons for beginners? There are some things you should consider before investing in a personal tutor else you may find the relationship quite regrettable.
1. Not every piano teacher can teach. Generations ago, those of us who studied and played the piano as a child have reasonably perfected the art and have use those talents to teach others and thereby earning a decent living from it. If you were lucky enough to find a talented teacher for your learning then great. But, for those that weren’t so blessed, the fact remains they will fall prey to those so-called teaches out there who don’t have a clue what they are doing. Having the ability to share information of what you have learnt over the years of constant practice is a genuine gift that really has to be learned and unfortunately many piano teachers seem to only focus on the mere technicalities of piano playing to the sacrifice of the educational side of the instrument. The inevitable outcome is that you may find yourself having lessons weekly for months and still feel you haven’t learned anything. I’m sure most of you feel this way.
2. Your teacher may be a bit of a task to work with (who knows your teacher may even feel the same about you). You will agree, we are all different and I’m quite sure you have experienced meeting someone for the first time and having an immediate dislike to them, honestly it happens and I’m prime example of this. It so happened I scheduled some lessons with a girl that a colleague of mine indicated who was supposedly quite good. He told me that she was quite the player, well versed with the instrument and has the patience to deal with piano beginners. From the first lesson she made me feel quite uneasy and gave off an opposite impression of what my colleague gave, we just didn’t get along and she made me feel foolish. Though cases like this don’t happen often but if it should happen it’s likely to affect your continued learning I guarantee it.
3. In most cases a good piano teacher is not cheap. Well this also depends on your circumstances, like where you live, travelling to and from classes and the hourly rate for your lesson. And if your relatively new to the piano, you may find yourself spending a small fortune for your lessons. So before you travel down that road I will suggest you do some information gathering, the more the better, before hiring a piano teacher. This is of the utmost importance because once you get the ball rolling it may get a bit difficult to depart from. Your teacher may insist that you need more lessons and keep you dipping into your pocket.
I know now your thinking that I’m bashing humans as piano teachers. I beg to differ though as I’m most certain that they’re quite many talented piano teachers out there but most certainly you may have to spend a small fortune to hire them. Honestly I don’t believe piano lessons for beginners is difficult its all about finding the right mix that suits you. if you new to this however I’m most certainly sure you wouldn’t want a piano teacher breathing down your neck
