Nightlife In Dubai

We’ve all heard of all the crazy things they’ve built and are still building in Dubai such as the world’s tallest hotel and the tallest building and man made palm shaped islands. However, is there a nightlife in the city of Dubai too or will you just have to have fun in the daytime? After all, Dubai is in a Muslim country which are known to be somewhat restrictive, especially according to a lot of western standards.

Dubai at night is a whole new city. When the city lights up at night, its almost unrecognizable from what it was in the daytime. From world class bars such as the Buddah Bar and the biggest and most popular with the expats, Chi at the Lodge, Dubai has something to offer everyone. Ladies night are quite something as the Ladies love to go bar hopping drinking their free glasses of Moet from one bar to another. Good times indeed! Plus famous DJs and artists regularly stop by such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Tiny Tempeh, Rod Stewart and so much more.

Just before you hit the local night scene, I just want you to be aware of some of the following rules and regulations so you have the best time possible. Make sure you carry your passport everywhere. It not only serves as your ID but will help you if you do have any mash ups with the local authorities (Most likely you wont).

Regrettably, there are no after hours drinking venues but that just works out fine most times. Cover charge or entry is usually around $30 dollars give and take but well worth the experience. You’ve probably heard this in your own country but drinking and driving is not a good idea and actually the ‘kiss of death’ in Dubai. No you won’t get the death penalty, but you will be fined about $15,000, one month in jail than straight deportation. Yes that is harsh indeed so try to avoid drinking and driving or drinking outside the designated areas at all costs.

Dubai is the most liberal Muslim city in the world and just like its nightlife, its growing fast. From the most expensive to the local favorites, Dubai nightlife offers a very unique experience to any visitor.
