How much do music teachers make?

What about the ones who teach in large music stores? I’ve heard that if they charge 20$ per half hour for lessons, that the teachers only get about $10 per hour for the actual teaching.
Anyone know anything about this?

It varies highly.
It depends on how much the business takes out of their fees. It’s an agreement between the teacher and the business owner and depends on many things, including how much of the material is provided by the business.
