How much do music teachers make? PLease help?

K, i posted a similar question yesterday, but the question requires clarification.
I am planning on teaching in a music store. How much does a music store typically pay its music teachers? They are charging $18 per half hour lesson. How much of that will I get?

That may vary a lot regionally. Here in Ohio, the store’s “cut” is very small, maybe $3.00 per lesson. But then most places aren’t nearly as high as $18 a lesson, either.
Do you have a base pay with a precentage of the students you teach or do you just have a base pay?
Depending where you live. Here in Arizona $20.00 to $25.00 for 30 minutes lesson is a good deal. Check how much teachers in your area charge that will gives you an Idea.
Will you start teaching in a Music Store and they did not tell you how much they would pay you?
Friend ask them how much they pay. I would tell you to not accept less then $26.00 per hour. That would be $13.00 for you for each student for a half an hour session.
