Get Ready for Xbox’s Mass Effect

0

Not only was the first Mass Effect labeled the best game of 2007, but it is still said to be the best RPG in the history of games. When we finished the first Mass Effect, we wanted more. It had one of the best endings; those of us that played the game would agree that Mass Effect had some of the best characters. Not only were the characters deep, but they remained in your mind long after the game was completed. It is games like Mass Effect that get sales up for the Xbox 360 and it is Mass Effect that earned Bioware lots of money.

If you have played this game on Xbox in recent days, then you probably still have the game saved. If you played it when it was first out, and you deleted the game even though you loved it, you might be sorry to hear that you’ll be missing out on a very big plus for you.

If you still have the first Mass Effect file, saved, you can keep it until early next year. At that time, Mass Effect 2 will be released, and you can actually import your saved game so that you’ll start right off in Mass Effect 2 where you left off in the first Mass Effect game.

That is not what the big deal is about. The big deal is that your character’s moral standing and all the choices you have made in the first Mass Effect carries over to the second game. Your choices affect the second game, and with your saved file you will get the impression of one lengthy experience.

Have you seen the teaser trailer for Mass Effect 2? You probably remember when the credits rolled at the end of the first Mass Effect. In the trailer, though, we get a close-up of a familiar armor suit, with “N7″ emblazoned on the chest. Ah-ha, it’s Shepherd, the main character.

We lose our anticipation when we realize that the suit is worn by a Geth soldier and it flashes on the screen that Shepherd was killed-in-action. There were exaggerations of Shepherd’s death, and you would be happy to know that he is back in Mass Effect 2 and this time he faces a whole new threat.

What’s good to know about Mass Effect 2? Well, there are multiple endings, as in the first Mass Effect. This time, your primary mission is a suicide mission, which you will be told about at the beginning of the game. Shepherd and his team know this, too.

You and your entire team can die or you can live. This all depends on the decisions you make throughout the game, and these decisions decide your outcome. However, if your character dies in Mass Effect 2, his death is permanent, which means you will be able to play him Mass Effect 3.
