Get Help With Buying Tickets
Your favorite artist or band is holding a major concert in your area, and you’re ecstatic to see them perform live! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance that should be well worth it despite the high cost of concert tickets. You’re already making arrangements: you find friends or a gorgeous date to watch it with, or maybe you plan to go with your partner or spouse; you clear your schedule and possibly cancel or reschedule important office or business engagements, and you search for the best ticket sources online, in the newspapers, or ask around.
I’ve been there. I’ve made the mad rush to buy concert tickets and ended up wasting a lot of time. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of some helpful tips to assure you buy the best concert tickets available.
1. If it’s a hot band or artist, chances are tickets will sell out VERY SOON. That’s why you need to buy tickets as far in advanced as you can. A month ahead is usually ideal so you can still secure the best seats.
2. Find out the venue and if it’s familiar so you’ll know where the best seating locations are. Prices may naturally soar high if you’re aiming for seats in the first few rows, but part of the experience will determine where exactly your prime location would be to enjoy this once (or twice) in a lifetime event.
3. Do not just buy from the first site or vendor you find. Compare prices. Shop around. Finding the best deal means doing research.
4. Confirm your friend or companion plans early. If you are certain you are that 10 or 15 of you are going, you may be able to strike a good deal with a bulk ticket discount.
5. Check out a ticket broker. These guys know what they are doing and can tell you what seats are going to be best or where all the seats are in relation to the stage. A reputable broker will not charge extra fees so make note of that before buying with a vendor you can’t trust.
6. Have a back-up plan. You never know who among your friends is going to cancel at the last minute, so it’s important to tell them that if you’re buying tickets for them that they must reimburse you regardless of whether or not they can make it. Then it’s good idea to resell those extra tickets to people you know who are most likely to buy.
7. Do not purchase tickets from a scalper. Apart from being illegal, you have no guarantee that the tickets are actually real or valid.
