Enhance the Sensory and Shore Up the Body by Energy Healing.
When people talk about energy healing, they’re talking about using spiritual energy to aid the healing process. If you’ve ever prayed for somebody, or tried to “recharge” someone who was feeling depleted, then you already have some experience. Many different ways have been developed to get the best results, and we’ll explore a few in this article.
The idea to use energy to heal people is actually quite ancient. Both in the East and West, people have realized that energy work can be used to heal. Nowadays, we take a systematic approach, and look to refine the processes into something that makes sense in the modern era. The end result is the same, but the path to get there differs.
An important thing to remember when considering the topic of energy healing is that we are more than our physical body. Our consciousness is energy that is working with the body. These methods work partly by making sure that the body is calmed and balanced, but it also can soothe a weary heart.
There are many different approaches to energy healing. Everyone has different perspectives on the interactions of mind, body, and spirit. Each path will have it’s strengths and weaknesses. While it can be daunting to choose which method to explore first, remember that it’s all the same in the end.
Out of the many forms of healing, we’ll focus on EFT, Reiki, and Pranic healing for now.
*Reiki is hands-on healing in the early levels, and is taught person-to-person.
*EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques – is derived from acupuncture. It uses a series of light taps on the face and body to restore balance.
*Breathing in the life of the universe and letting it heal you is the basis of Pranic healing.
The best way to get started with energy healing is to pay close attention to your body and how your body feels. Notice how your skin feels. Pay attention to the weight of your arms, and the air temperature. Keep going. The farther you can take this, the more you can pick up, the more your awareness will expand.
As for techniques, I’d say try EFT first. It’s pretty user-friendly and easy to learn. Also useful in many different cases. Reiki may not be the best for getting started, as finding a teacher can be challenging. Pranic healing I would also recommend as it teaches you to actively work with and move energy.
Each one of us has our own will. I was drawn strongly towards Reiki, where you may be drawn towards EFt, another technique, or want to study them all, as I am. The important thing is to keep your focus on what you feel. Trust it. The more you allow yourself to feel, the better your intuition and healing ability will be.
Energy healing is a big topic. I’ve just mentioned a couple of styles out of hundreds, and each one has it’s own history and unique window into how to use energy to heal others. As you start learning to use these systems to heal the mind, body, and spirit you will benefit greatly yourself as you gain a more profound awareness.
