Chelsea Walls: Impressionistic ode to N.Y.C.’s fabled Chelsea Hotel and the ghosts of tormented creative souls like Bob Dylan who influenced the present inhabitants, from a recently found Midwestern folksinger to a booze-ridden novelist who couldn’t get his act together. Nunzio: Retarded Brooklyn market delivery boy Proval envisions he’s Superman and then falls in love with bakery associate Feldshuh. Soft tale improved by Proval’s fine acting. Rambling Rose: Evocative story set in 1930s Georgia, with Dem as an oversexed senseless gal who comes to work for a ladylike family headed by Duvall and Ladd. Vibrant, pleasantly detailed, and well performed, with numerous delightful astonishments during the voyage. Cast includes Laura Dem, Rohert Duvall, Diane Ladd, Lukas Haas, John Heard, Kevin Conway, Rohert J. Burke, Lisa Jakub, and Evan Lockwood. (112 minutes, 1991)
Dracula: Farfetched, bewildering story of current time’s successor of Dr. Van Helsing (Cushing) fighting lately revitalized vampire (Lee). Cast includes Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Stephanie Beacham, Michael Coles, Christopher Neame, and Caroline Munro. (100 minutes, 1992)
