Guitar is a wonderful instrument that can give you many hours of enjoyment, but also a lot of irritation and frustration, if you go about it the wrong way. Believe me, people can get discouraged pretty fast, if they are doing it the wrong way. With learning guitar there is definitely the right and the wrong way. Let’s do it right, okay.

The number one cause for people to get discouraged is lack of guidance. At the beginner stage, guidance is extremely important. You must know where you are at and when to move on.

If you have nobody to guide you, you have a serious problem. This is a basic beginner mistake. You are all over the place, trying to learn things that are way too advanced for you and then you get frustrated. You may even get so discouraged that you decide to end your career as a guitarist. Simple advice: don’t get ahead of yourself.

Guitar is most definitely a step by step process. Remember this. And this is the reasons why you need some sort of lessons. Lessons that will guide you through the whole course in a step by step fashion.
