Chelsea Walls: Impressionistic ode to N.Y.C.’s fabled Chelsea Hotel and the ghosts of tormented creative souls like Bob Dylan who influenced the present inhabitants, from a recently found Midwestern folksinger to a booze-ridden novelist who couldn’t get his act together. Cast includes Kevin Corrigan, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Sean Leonard, Kris Kristofferson, Natasha Richardson, Little Jimmy Scott, John Seitz, Uma Thurman, Mark Weber, Tuesday Weid, Steve Zahn, and Christopher Walken. Airport: Grand Hotel structure recipe grasps latterday apex in ultraslick, old-styled film that amuses regardless of itself, detailing chaotic fall day at metropolitan airport. Requiem for a Heavyweight: Solemn account of boxer, Quinn, whose ring occupation is over, pushing him into corruption and degradation. His sleazy supervisor Gleason, understanding teacher Rooney, and Harris as unrealistic city employee are all fine. Cast includes Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason, Mickey Rooney, Julie Harris, Nancy Cushman, Madame Spivy, and Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali). (100 minutes, 1952)

Agency: Eccentric mind bender, loaded with plot deceptions, in regards to imaginative boy (Keyworth) whose dad is a cop and whose mom is blind. The father is chasing a man on a murderous bender in which the people dying are all sightless ladies. Cast includes James Fox, Fanny Ardant, Paul McGann, Clare Holman, Robert Stephens, David Thewlis, Susan Wooldridge, and Ben Keyworth. (94 minutes, 1981)

Danny Boy: Ambitious although arrogant, unrelentingly dull melodrama of sax player Rea, who trades his sax for a gun after observing a triple killing. This was Jordan’s directorial debut, which he additionally did the screenplay. He and leading guy Rea later reteamed for The Weeping Game. (92 minutes, 1982)
