Dinner Rush: A tumultuous day in the life of a recently fashionable N.Y.C. restaraunt. Owner Aiello is considering of giving up his bookie job, his megastar cook is requesting part ownership of the restaurant, and then 2 mobsters materialized to pay an unfriendly visit, etc. Flavorful film has the ring of reality inside the resaraunt, and outside it is is brimming with life. Hail Caesar: Horrible music-megastar wannabe (Chamber) is in love with an offensive debutante, whose dad is plotting to yndermine an upcoming concert. Not a very good film. Ali Fear Eats the Soul: Widow Mira, in her 60s, falls in love with and weds an Arab 30 years her junior. The work is a fascinating, calmly powerful Fassbinder film that is a redo of Douglas Sirk’s All That Heaven Allows. Cast includes Brigitte Mira, EI Hedi Ben Salem, Barbara Valentin, Irm Hermann, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder. (94 minutes, 1974)

A Nightmare on Elm Street the Dream Child: Fifth iin the Freddy Crugar series with everyone with the exception of Englund just going through the paces. Here, scarred, dreamhaunting Freddy Krueger (Englund) uses the unborn child of Wilcox to strike at her buddies. As typical, visual effects are a highlight however don’t spare the film from being a bore. Cast includes Englund, Lisa Wilcox, Kelly Jo Minter, Erika Anderson, Whitby Hertford, and Danny Hassel.
